The Japanese original: a red-and-white console with hardwired controllers, an expansion port on the front, and cartridges that could carry their own mapper chips — which is why late Famicom games look far beyond what the 1983 hardware should manage. It rebuilt the games industry after the American crash. The Disk System add-on is the collector's target.
