Acorn Archimedes A440/1

The top of the 1987 Archimedes launch: 4MB of memory and a hard disc when the A310 had half a megabyte and floppies, aimed at technical and publishing work rather than schools. Expensive at the time and consequently uncommon now. The interest is the same as the A310's — early ARM2, and Acorn's argument that a British RISC design could beat the American 68000s — with the specification the argument deserved.
