Franklin Ace 1000

Franklin · 1982

An Apple II clone good enough that Apple sued and won, in a case that established copyright in ROM code — one of the most consequential lawsuits in software history. Franklin's machine had more memory and a better keyboard than the machine it copied. Collected for the legal history as much as the hardware.
