Sega's first home console, released in Japan on the same day as the Famicom and comprehensively beaten by it. A Z80 with a TMS9918 — respectable 1983 hardware, and the architecture that became the Master System. Worth having as the start of Sega's console line and as the machine that lost the fight that set up the next decade.
