The first true pocket computer: a BASIC-programmable machine the size of a cheque book, sold in 1980 and rebadged by Tandy as the TRS-80 Pocket Computer. A one-line display and a QWERTY keyboard you press with a fingernail. It started a whole category, and engineers and surveyors used them seriously for years.
