Atari 1200XL

Atari's misfire. Handsome, aluminium-trimmed, and incompatible with a slice of the software and hardware people already owned, thanks to changed ROMs and missing ports. It was withdrawn after a few months and replaced by the 600XL and 800XL. Short production, bad reputation and striking industrial design add up to a machine collectors want and users do not.
