The first commercially successful portable computer: a complete CP/M machine with two drives and a five-inch screen in a sewing-machine case, bundled with more software than it cost. Adam Osborne then announced its successor early, sales of this stopped dead, and the company failed — the origin of the phrase "the Osborne effect".
