IBM PS/2 Model 80 (8580)

The top of IBM's 1987 PS/2 range and the flagship for Micro Channel, the proprietary 32-bit bus IBM hoped would take the clone makers' oxygen away. It did not, but the Model 80 is where the argument was made: a 386DX tower built to a standard nobody else could match on price. Handsome, immensely heavy, and awkward to feed, since MCA cards need their reference diskette to configure and those are now harder to find than the machines.
