Sega's mushroom-shaped Mega Drive upgrade: two SH-2 processors and extra video hardware in a cartridge-slot add-on, released just as everyone was waiting for Saturn. It is messy, cable-heavy and short-lived, but it makes its own small library and the 32X CD corner of Sega collecting possible. Missing link cables and power supplies are the usual problem.
