Chuck Peddle's machine — the man who designed the 6502 and the PET — and technically far better than the IBM PC it competed with: variable-speed drives holding twice the data, a high-resolution display, and superb sound. It was not PC compatible, so it lost. A brilliant machine and a clear lesson about standards.
